A cab has run over two individuals who were crossing Baduraliya – Agalawatta Road in Agalawatta town last evening.

Cab runs over two in Agalawatta town

A cab has run over two individuals who were crossing Baduraliya – Agalawatta Road in Agalawatta town last evening. One of the two victims has died upon admission to Vattava Hospital, Police Media Unit told Ceylon Today Online.

The deceased was a 32-year-old resident of Agalawatta area.

His remains are kept at the morgue of Vattava Hospital and the post mortem examination will be conducted today.

The driver of the cab has been arrested in connection with the accident and Matugama Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
