A motorcyclist has lost control and toppled off rode and crashed on Unnachchiya-Aittamalaya Road in Neliyamadu area last morning.

Motorcyclist dies in crash

A motorcyclist has toppled off Unnachchiya-Aittamalaya Road after losing control in Neliyamadu area last morning.

The motorcyclist who was critically injured from the accident has died upon his admission to Karadiyanaru Hospital, Police Media Unit said.

The deceased was a 29-year-old resident of Aittamalaya area.

His remains are kept at the morgue of Batticaloa Hospital and the post mortem examination will be conducted today.

Aittamalaya Police is conducting further investigations.
